Medieval Lobster Night with fishing

The annual lobster fishery starts on the Monday after September 20. Join us for an experience that takes us back to the Middle Ages.

Together with Carlstens Fästning on Marstrand, we arrange an experience that can only be booked as a group of between 10-150 guests. Start the day with lobster fishing out at sea in the waters around Marstrand and enjoy the fantastic Bohuslän archipelago, we tell stories that take us back in time.
Our experienced fishermen guide you between islets and skerries. It is you who are responsible for the fishing with all that it means; pulling up pots by hand, weathering cages, baiting and putting back into the sea again. Then we are met by Carlsten’s Fortress carolines *Obs! Optional!” who take us up to the fortress. Up here on the top of Marstrand Island, the knight’s hall is set up with a well-stocked seafood table, we cook lobster together in the large cauldron and enjoy this lukewarm. The history of the lobster takes us far back in time and during dinner you will learn many exciting things as we come around and tell.
